TLS by Design upholstery is bench-made in the USA by
experienced craftsman. We use the best
8-Way-Tied ModuCoils™ for our seating suspension and sinuous springs in our
backs, unless styling does not allow.
All of our seat cushions are made with 15-35% soy content and are
California 117 compliant. Every frame is constructed of hardwood, usually Maple
or Poplar, and we double-dowel and corner-block all critical joints. All frames
and springs have limited lifetime warranties.
TLS by Design maintains a 3-4 week lead-time commitment,
with our average lead-time being 20 days from time of deposit, agreement on the
spec and receipt of fabric.
We offer custom capability with the same lead-time, and we
do not charge more for changes of an inch or two in depth, height or length,
and only charge proportionate amounts for significantly larger lengths or
depths. TLS by Design also offers a wide
range of seat cushion and back cushions options, from our standard firm and
plush seating to feather/down/poly wrapped, spring in down and all feather and
down for seat, and for our backs we offer standard channeled poly fill, as well
as foam and fiber for a more tailored look and various feather and down
options.
CASEGOODS
TLS by Design has custom casegoods capability in the US, and
mass production capability through strong partnership with one of the finest
solid-wood products factory in Asia.
All of our casegoods are made of FSC certified
hardwoods. We employ dovetailed drawers,
corner-block and mortise and tenon construction. All of our wood is dried to the necessary
6-8% moisture content, so there is no cracking or warping. Our laser cutting capability allows for fine
inlay patterns to be made smoothly and consistently.
